The terms of play.

The practical terms for using TapTime and buying TapTime Pro.

Updated October 25, 2026

Playing TapTime

TapTime is a casual timing game for personal entertainment. These terms apply to the app and this website. Your download and purchases are also subject to the terms of the app store you use.

Play solo, take turns locally on one device, or join online rooms in supported modes. A game on one device can also be shown on a TV board. Online play, the TV board, and progress synchronization need an internet connection. Device timing, interruptions, and network synchronization can affect play. Scores are for friendly competition; TapTime does not offer cash prizes or guaranteed timing accuracy.

Free access and daily allowances

Classic is unlimited for free. Knockout, Precision, Climb and Darts each include one free game a day. Joining someone else’s online room is always free. Allowances apply to starting solo, local, and hosted online games, including rematches. The app shows the remaining allowance before you play.

TapTime Pro

Pro removes the daily game-mode limits and unlocks team matches on one phone. Available plans and their final local prices are shown in the app store purchase sheet before you confirm. The advertised US plans are $0.99 weekly, $2.99 monthly, and $9.99 lifetime.

Weekly and monthly plans are recurring subscriptions. They renew automatically until you cancel through the store that bills you. The lifetime plan is a one-time purchase of Pro access and does not renew. It does not guarantee that online services will operate indefinitely.

You must be entitled to make the purchase through your store account. Apple or Google handles billing; RevenueCat manages purchase verification and access in the app.

Restore, cancel, or request a refund

Use Restore purchases on the Pro screen while signed in to the same store account used to buy. A purchase on one app store is not a promise of access through a different app store.

Manage or cancel a subscription through your Apple subscription settings or Google Play subscriptions. Deleting TapTime or your progress does not cancel a subscription.

Refund eligibility is determined by the relevant store and applicable consumer rights. See Apple’s refund instructions or Google Play’s refund help. More troubleshooting is on our support page.

Play fairly

Use appropriate display names and respect the people in your room. Do not disrupt other players, abuse the service, attempt to access another player’s data, or interfere with purchase verification. Rooms and connections may be limited or ended to keep the service working.

Your profile and photo

Your profile is public. Your player ID and display name, and any photo and Instagram or TikTok usernames you add, can be seen by players in your online rooms, on the TV board, by anyone who looks up your player ID, and by your friends. A photo and social usernames are optional: you can replace or remove your photo in Profile and clear your usernames at any time. Social usernames link out to those apps; TapTime does not connect to the accounts.

Only upload photos you have the right to share. No nudity, hate, harassment, impersonation, or photos of other people without their consent. The same rules apply to display names and social usernames.

You can report a profile that breaks these rules. TapTime reviews reports and may remove a photo, reset a name, or clear social usernames that break them. You can also block any player from their profile: you stop seeing their photo and profile, and they can no longer look up yours, add you, or join your online rooms. You can unblock them later.

Your data and service changes

Our privacy page explains how names, profiles and photos, friends, blocking, reports, results, anonymous progress, and purchases are handled. You can delete your progression profile from Records in the app (called Your rhythm in older versions); separate shared-match records and store or Game Center data have different controls.

We may update game modes and service behavior. Online features may be interrupted for maintenance or service failures. The date at the top identifies this version of the terms. Nothing here removes consumer rights that apply to you.
