Get back to good timing.

Help with your next round, your room, and everything you’ve earned.

Choose how you play

Choose a mode and press Play. Where a mode offers both, pick Solo to play on your own or With friends to pass one phone around for 2–12 players; Climb is solo only, and Darts is for friends on one phone. Solo and one-phone games work offline. Online rooms play Classic, Knockout and Precision, and each player needs the app and an internet connection.

New to the game? Try Classic: remember the target, start the clock, then stop when you think you have reached it. On your own or on one phone, Classic and Precision let you set the Timer to Visible to keep the clock on screen; those games are not saved. In Knockout, get close to 10.00 without going over. Over is out, and if nobody goes over, the earliest stop is out. Precision sets long targets, from 5.00 to 9.99 seconds. Climb is a solo ladder from 4.00 to 10.00: stop within 0.70 to clear each rung, and three misses and you fall. In Darts everyone keeps one target all game, every stop scores by how close it lands, and the most tickets after five rounds wins. Every stop is judged to two decimals and shows its result as soon as you stop; the scores wait for the final results, which show every round. In Knockout and Darts on one phone, stops stay secret until the end so nobody can play off them. See all modes and play options.

A free allowance has run out

Classic remains free without a daily limit, and joining an online room is always free. Come back when the mode’s allowance resets, or open Pro for unlimited game modes. See the free allowances.

Show the game on a TV

Put a game from one phone on a TV, laptop or projector so the whole room can watch. The board shows the target and the clock (hidden or live, as the game plays it) while you play, each stop’s result as it lands, then every stop on the final results; your phone becomes one big Start/Stop button.

  1. On the big screen, open ttpl.tv in a web browser (it takes you to taptime.party/tv). It shows a six-character code and a QR code.
  2. In TapTime, tap TV and enter the code, or scan the QR code with your phone’s camera.
  3. Start a solo game or a game with friends. Choose Full screen on the board for the cleanest view.

Everyone plays on their own phone

With the TV linked, press Play, choose Online and create a room (Classic, Knockout or Precision). The TV shows the room’s QR code: everyone scans it with their phone’s camera, joins in TapTime, and their phone becomes their own buzzer. The host starts the game and the TV shows each target and the hidden clock. After each round every phone shows its own stop, and the final results reveal every stop.

Both devices need an internet connection. If the phone drops off, nothing is lost: the game stays on the phone, and reopening TapTime reconnects it while the board is open. A code ends after ten minutes without a board showing it, or after twelve hours, and the board then shows a new one.

Rooms and invites

An invite does not open the app

Open the invite page and press Open in TapTime. If the app does not open, launch TapTime yourself, choose Join room, and enter the six-character room code shown on the page. Install the app first if needed, then reopen the invite.

A room cannot be found

Check all six characters with the host. Rooms expire after inactivity, so an old invitation may no longer work. Ask the host to create a new room and share its new code.

You lost your connection

Restore your internet connection and reopen the app on the same device. TapTime can reconnect you while the room is still active. A missed round counts as no stop; your host can keep play moving. If the room has expired, join a new one.

Your country flag

Where does my flag show?

A small flag sits next to your photo for everyone who sees your profile: in online rooms, on the TV board, on your public profile and in friends lists and recent games. A few countries have no flag, and those players show none.

How was it set?

TapTime set it once, from the country of the connection the app first used. It can be wrong if you were on a VPN or a travel network. TapTime keeps only the two-letter country code.

Change it or hide it

Open Profile and choose Your country to pick a different one. Turn Show my flag off to hide it: a hidden flag is left off your public profile and out of online rooms entirely.

Does TapTime store my IP address?

TapTime never stores your IP address with your profile or shows it to anyone.

Purchases and Pro

Restore something you bought

  1. Sign in to the same Apple or Google store account used for your purchase.
  2. Connect to the internet and open TapTime’s Pro screen.
  3. Choose Restore purchases and wait for the store to confirm your access.

If Pro still looks locked, fully close and reopen the app, then try restoring again. A purchase from one app store does not automatically transfer to the other.

Plans are not loading

Check your connection and try again. Purchases need a supported app-store installation and may not be available in preview or development builds. You can keep playing the free modes.

Cancel a subscription

Use Apple’s subscription settings or Google Play’s subscription settings. Uninstalling TapTime or deleting progress does not cancel a subscription. Lifetime Pro has no recurring payment to cancel.

Request a refund

Follow Apple’s refund instructions or Google Play’s refund help for the store that charged you.

Records and progress

Open Records in the app (called Your rhythm in older versions) for your history, personal bests, and badges. Offline results are stored on your device. Connect to sync supported progress with your anonymous profile.

Badges

Every game you finish counts toward your badges, except one on the Visible clock, which is not saved. Each badge has levels, and a new one lights up on the final results of the game that earned it, even offline. Open your Profile or Records and tap your badges to see the whole collection and how close you are to the next level. Other players see the badges you have earned on your profile, but not how close you are to the next one. A game played with assist on counts toward games played and days played, but not toward the skill badges.

Delete saved progress

Open Records and use the delete control. Keep an internet connection so the server deletion can finish. This removes your anonymous progression profile and local progress. It does not cancel purchases or delete separate completed shared-match records, including the names and results in those matches. Apple Game Center data is managed separately through Apple.

Progress after reinstalling

TapTime uses an anonymous player key rather than an email and password. If that key is lost, your previous progress may be inaccessible. Restoring Pro recovers eligible purchase access, not your old game history. Read about saved data.

Game Center and Play Games

TapTime can also report your badges as achievements to Apple Game Center on iOS and to Google Play Games on Android, including how far you are toward each level. Connect from Records. You need the installed app, an internet connection, and Game Center or Play Games sign-in. The website and Expo Go do not provide either service.

If Game Center or Play Games does not open, or an achievement is missing, check that you are signed in to the service in your device settings, reconnect to the internet, and reopen TapTime. Your badges in TapTime do not depend on either service. TapTime’s records and Apple’s or Google’s are separate, so deleting your TapTime progression profile does not remove Game Center or Play Games records.
